After a first day on Friday in which Jorge Martin showed that he has regained the feeling with his bike, this Saturday will be the last free practice, qualifying and the MotoGP sprint race of the 2024 British Grand Prix.

Although Martin faced the summer break with some concern, after suffering a crash in the German Grand Prix and losing the World Championship lead, the Spaniard showed throughout the first day of testing at Silverstone that he has returned from vacation with his batteries recharged.
The Pramac Racing rider set the fastest time of the day (1:57.911), followed by Aleix Espargaró and current World Championship leader Pecco Bagnaia. For his part, Marc Márquez got the direct pass to Q2 ‘in extremis’, finishing tenth in Practice 1, a luck that did not have the Spaniard Pedro Acosta, who will be forced to go through the first qualifying round if he wants to opt for the first rows of the grid.
The first qualifying series will also feature Franco Morbidelli, Raúl Fernández, Álex Márquez, Miguel Oliveira, Fabio Quartararo, Johann Zarco, Álex Rins, Luca Marini, Augusto Fernández, Joan Mir, Takaaki Nakagami and Remy Gardner.
